What it does
- Face restoration: the model is at its best on people. Blurry, scratched or low-resolution faces come back remarkably sharp — this is what it looks like when you unblur images, or unblur picture detail a cheap scan lost.
- Sharpen & upscale: enlarge small scans and soften-focus shots into something you can actually print — the same engine used to upscale picture detail, upscale image quality, or upscale images from a whole album, one photo or a batch at a time.
- Colorize: add realistic color to black-and-white photos, tuned for skin tones and period scenes.
The everyday photo jobs, too
Restoration is the showpiece, but most days people need something plainer — and those three run entirely in your own browser, so the photo never even leaves your device:
- Compress image to a target size — ask for 100 KB and you get 100 KB: the tool works toward the number an upload form demands, instead of a vague quality slider. A compress picture pass runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server. Unlike TinyPNG, an image compress here needs no account and has no daily cap. A jpg photo compress leaves no watermark, and the upload is deleted automatically afterward.
- Resize image — exact pixels, with the aspect ratio locked so nothing gets squashed. This is the photo resize step for anything that needs an exact pixel target.
- Crop image — free or to a fixed shape (square, 16:9, 4:3), by dragging on the image itself. Because it runs in your browser, using it to crop images never uploads the file to a server. Unlike TinyPNG, a picture crop here needs no account and no daily cap. To crop an image here leaves no watermark, and the upload is deleted automatically afterward.
Against the known names: remove-the-limits is the point here. TinyPNG and friends cap files per day or hide the target-size option behind a subscription; these three have no account, no cap, and nothing is uploaded at all.

Honest expectations
Restoration is strongest where a face is clearly visible, since that's what the model was trained for. Very heavy damage (tears through a face, large missing areas) can improve but won't always disappear, and results on landscapes or objects are more modest than on portraits. The site tells you this up front, because a tool that overpromises wastes your time.
